The focus for the SAFEGROUNDS Learning Network over the period (2006-2008) is to produce a second version of the SAFEGROUNDS guidance on the management of contaminated land and corresponding versions of existing and new SAFEGROUNDS documents to support the guidance. This work is described in detail in the project specification. In addition there will be ongoing maintenance of the website and wide promotion of SAFEGROUNDS. There are plans to substantially increase network membership. Project management activities will also be carried out such as holding steering group meetings, managing ad hoc consultancy contracts and issuing progress reports and newsletters.
