Introduction

You are invited to review and comment on the second full draft of the second version of the SAFEGROUNDS land management guidance version 2 (LMGv2).

How to give us your comments:

2) download the LMGv2 response form here (word)
3) enter comments on response form
4) return your comments to CIRIA via email gemma.samlal@ciria.org or fax us at 020 7253 0523.

Deadline for comments: 12pm on Friday 21st March 08

On receipt of your comments, CIRIA will:
- Notify you of receipt of the comments
- Log the comments*
- Pass logged comments to a technical consultant for consideration.
- The technical consultant will review all comments and take an appropriate action**
- The logged comments and actions will be posted in the project log

*If you do not wish your comment to be interpreted in any way as part of the development of the next draft of the guidance (i.e. you would like the comment wording to be logged and included verbatim) then please make this clear by including the phrase ‘(include verbatim)’.

**Where it was not deemed appropriate to amend the report in response to a comment, the comment will be logged along with a note from the technical consultant’s where appropriate. No comments will be ignored. If any conflicts arise, the technical consultant will request, via CIRIA, assistance from the steering group. The steering group will look at a minimum to accurately record any minority views.

Background

The first version of the SAFEGROUNDS guidance on the management of contaminated land
(LMGv1) was issued in 2002. It was intended to be a ‘living document’ that would be revised
in the light of technical, regulatory and organisational developments, and of experience in its
use.
